Go for a free parking space in Trieste Mestre. Via Trieste, 29, 30175 Venezia VE, (150 places) Bus stop available, to take line 6 to Venice.

Pay in the bus and otherwise walk to the roundabout, cross to the tobacco shop, buy a return ticket of 3.50 and then take line 6 to Venice (20 Min)

Lots of free parking spaces no charge. Bus stop just around the corner. Bus 6 to Venice. You can pay on the bus. Just tap your credit card when you get on and tap the same card when you get off. (Number of tickets =number of taps)

Just bought bus tickets to Venice for 3. Return will end up costing 18 euros... Might as well pay for parking in Piazzale Roma. It's protected and more convenient.

Thanks for this Tip!

It took a while to find the shop, and they didn't understand much English, but they have a self-written sign with the prices on it.

We have been for a weekend in August. By bus and then to our hotel on foot (disappointed as it was pretty far)

On the way back, we took the boat across the Grand Canal to the bus and back to the car!
