Mestre RR station to VCE Airport

Do NOT buy your bus ticket at the tobacco shop in the mestre railway station.

It costs 10 euro to go to the airport on the municipal no 15 bus. They don’t tell you where the bus stop is (“out on the right” so you spend 15-20 minutes waiting at the wrong stop and then trying to figure it out.

It’s out on the right but way down at the end of the street. By then you have likely missed the bus which only departs every half hour.

Then you find out that for 10 euros you can take the more luxurious express (direct) bus ATVO which is a completely different company than the ACTV city bus where you can sit down as opposed to standing up the entire trip with numerous stops.

The tickets are NOT interchangeable or refundable.
So go outside the station turn right and keep walking until you see the ATVO ticket office

Also if you have a Venice tourist card the municipal bus is cheaper. Not sure about the ATVO bus…..

From Mestre with ATVO bus to VCE Airport
by: Venice-Information.com

Dear Magaly,

Thank you so much for your Tip & Advice. Yes, indeed, go from Mestre Railway station to the right. You can find here the ATVO bus stop.

ATVO is a luxury bus transfer from a coach to the airport.

ACVT company also has bus transfers, but they go mainly between the airport VCE directly to Venice.
